Rayman Time!!!!

This post is about Rayman!!!!! The official mascot of Ubisoft!!!!!

The first thing people notice about Rayman is the fact that he has no arms legs or neck, but has hands, feet, a head AND a torso. The reason for this is never explained in the games. And these body parts move as if they ARE connected to arms, legs, and a neck.

Rayman also has a sidekick named Globox. Who is similar to Rayman, considering the fact that Globox has no legs but does have feet. However, unlike Rayman, he DOES have arms, complete with hands.

In almost every Rayman game, Rayman had the ability to launch his hands as if they were missiles. The hands come back like boomerangs once they hit their target. However, in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, Rayman could only attack no further than arms reach. Which is pretty far despite the fact that Rayman does NOT have arms. But he still has to fight in conventional fisticuffs style in those two games. The same goes for Globox, the Teensies (tiny wizards that have large noses) and a new character named Barbara. Well if you want to be technical the Teensies fight with magical blasts launched from there hands (they ARE wizards after all). And Barbara has a double headed axe.

But those two games both have music synchronized with the action of the game (Just imagine a musical play. You have to move in time with the music.). Both games feature you rescuing someone. In Origins, the victims of The Magician (the villain of both games) were the Electoons. In Legends, the damsels in distress were Teensies (Teensies rescuing more Teensies. Weird, right?). This is somewhat ironic that Teensies were being held hostage by The Magician because he happens to be a Teensie.

The game also has various variations of Rayman and friends. Like Sir Ray-a-lot (Rayman dressed has a Middle Ages knight from England) or Goth Teensie (a Teensie dressed as a gloomy goth). Or Red Globox (Globox with red skin instead of his normal Blue skin).

The most famous arch nemesis of the Rayman franchise is probably the Raving Rabbids. They are aliens that look like rabbits, but are weird. Their trademark is screaming the word "Bwaaaah!!!!!!" as loud as they can. They normally do this when enraged. Which is very frequently because you can enrage a Raving Rabbid easily.

When the Rabbids first appeared, they kidnapped Rayman and some of Globox's hundreds of kids, held them hostage, and forced Rayman to become their champion in their bizarre gladiatorial tournaments. But Rayman escaped them by building a ladder out of toilet plungers (the Rabbids reward their captives with toilet plungers if they win a tournament).

But Rayman once again found himself among the maniacal aliens a second time. This time he was working undercover to exploit a conspiracy to replace every human on the planet with a Raving Rabbid. I do not know what happened next, but I do know that the Rabbids either caught him BEFORE their plan was revealed or AFTER. Because in the next game Rayman was forced to retreat to his house to escape a horde of Rabbid drones.

But the Rabbids got struck by lightning and got sucked into Rayman's TV. He had to endure weeks of annoying Rabbid themed TV shows. Later down the road, Rayman couldn't take it anymore and smashed his TV with his shoe. This only made things worse because the Rabbids escaped their digital prison and resumed their chase of Rayman.

But lets not forget Captain Razor Beard. This guy was the villain of Rayman 2. And is a pirate. But he comes second to Andre. Andre is a Lum. A Hoodlum. He can transform any Lum he touches into a Hoodlum. If he can control a certain amount of Hoodlums he can use them to make a body. A scarecrow body for Andre to use. In his true form he is nothing more than a teeny-tiny insect. Literally!!! But with enough Hoodlums, he can turn into a scarecrow like creature armed with a BB rifle. And in Rayman 3 Globox accidentally swallowed Andre and Andre possessed him.

A major difference between most Rayman games and Legends is the fact that the player has to jump inside paintings to access levels. Well......they are MAGIC paintings... Paintings with enough MAGIC to allow you to enter them. Another (but less obvious) difference is the fact that in the hub world of Origins, Polokus the Bubble Dreamer (the guy who created Rayman's homeworld, the Glade of Dreams. Surprisingly he did NOT create Rayman) is levitating in a meditating pose. But in Legends he is sitting on a stone pillar and is laying down on a (very) large pillow.

Rolling Western Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This post is about a video game series called Dillon's Rolling Western, for the 3DS!!!!!!!! I am SO going to tell a friend of mine who has a 3DS to get this game because this game is like AWESOME and INCREDIBLE had a baby together.

The game has you playing as a armadillo named Dillon. He NEVER talks. EVER. His sidekick Russ the Squirrel does the talking for him. But both are Rangers, in charge of protecting fourteen (14) towns from rock monsters that attack once a day. Dillon is super dangerous in combat because he has razor sharp claws, the power to curl up into a ball and launch himself at high speed (like a cannonball), can tunnel underground (he does this by spinning rapidly. He didn't do this until Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger) and he has a Lot of fellow Rangers, each one has gun tower and shoots the Rock Monsters (called Grocks) as they walk by. This is easy because they are super predictable and will only attack the front gates (which can be fortified with building materials and a small fee). AND they will only take the road(s) to the town, they never stray far from the road.

But in the sequel, The Last Ranger, the Grocks have a new target besides innocent villages. The train that shows up every three days. They will try to derail the train or destroy. Either way you lose if either happens. But the good news is Dillon has some friends to fight alongside him.

Here is a list of those friends of Dillon.
  1. Gallo a.k.a. The Coin Killer - An iguana with two guns and (really) good aim. He fights with a pistol and a sniper rifle (that surprisingly is used in close quarters combat). His nickname, the Coin Killer, comes from the fact that he always carries three silver coins with him at all times. He is an expert in money. In fact you can have Dillon give him a job: gaining money for the rest of the team.
  2. Boone a.k.a. The Loose Cannon - A grizzly bear with a shotgun and super strength. In his own words, he's "a lot stronger. And a lot tougher." than anyone else. He can actually grab Grocks and throw them at other Grocks. He has two sashes filled with ammo (for his shotgun), forming an "X" on his chest. he is good at collecting food to feed to the livestock of whatever town you are currently collecting.
  3. Nomad a.k.a. the Assassin - A squid man. The only character in the game who does not speak English, Japanese, African, or any other language. He speaks in a fictional language that only one character in the whole game can understand. Russ the Squirrel nicknamed this language "Squid-ese". He has an impressive arsenal. He has a shotgun (like Boone), TWO pistols, a Sniper Rifle (like Gallo), dozens of throwing knifes, and a handful of bombs. He can use several of these weapons at the same time because since he IS a Squid man, he has at least ten arms

You have to hire them to help when you fist meet them, but they will work for free if you beat them in a duel.

But they alone cannot stop a Rock Monster Invasion. That's where the Gun Towers come in. They can at least slow them down long enough for you to smash them to pieces.

But there is a tricky thing to know about Gallo, Boone, and Nomad. Once they have been paid after a Grock Raid, they will help you for free......................IF you can beat them in a Duel. Duels test the player's patience and reaction speed. The Duel rules will vary, depending on the opponent. But even after they have been defeated, you can challenge them to a rematch.

Here is the basics of a Duel (I will use Gallo's Duel as a example).
It's nighttime and the full moon is in the sky. Dillon walks out of a saloon with Russ. Russ tells Dillon the risks and benefits of a Duel. First of all, if you draw first, you WILL be shot down and killed. If you do happen to get shot, Dillon is only slightly wounded and the player has to keep mashing the "get back up" button to try again. They must do this as quickly as possible. If they don't, Dillon dies for real (they can try again. Dillon always comes back from the grave if you save).

There is not a sound besides the wind. Dillon starts to crouch, ready to fight. Gallo's hand slowly reaches for his gun (his pistol to be exact). Neither one moves after that, and they stare coldly at each other. Then the camera gets a close up of Gallo's eye, signaling the player to attack. Dillon uses his Roll to launch himself at Gallo. Do this too early, and Dillon will trip and stumble. Do this too late, and Dillon gets shot. You must attack JUST as Gallo pulls his gun out of the holster and shoots.

If the attack is successful, Gallo's bullet will miss by three to six inches ABOVE Dillon. Dillon will hit Gallo in the gut, and send him flying. When Gallo gets back up, he tells Dillon that the Duel "ended in a draw".

But the rematch is more difficult, because Gallo will crouch to match Dillon's crouching height. Dillon must make a sharp turn left (following by a charge to the right) and hit Gallo's side.

But this is why Dillon and Russ saved the fourteen towns from the Grocks. A gorilla stole Dillon's childhood home, and Dillon tried to use the reward money he got to buy it back. But the gorilla (named King Ron) refused and ordered the Mecha-Barrel (a giant barrel with flamethrowers and normal barrel shooting cannons) to squash Dillon. Dillon won easily and sent King Ron packing. Not only did he give up the deeds to Dillon's hometown, He also allowed Dillon to keep the reward money.

Skylanders are awesome!!!!

This is yet ANOTHER Skylanders post. But what makes this one different is that I'm going to talk about the Dark Edition of the SWAP Force game.

The Dark Edition comes with five Dark Skylanders. A Dark Skylander is a clone of a normal Skylander, the only difference is that the Dark Skylanders are black and white and have a completely different move set.

The Dark Skylanders are Dark Spyro, Dark Stealth Elf, Dark Slobber Tooth, Dark Wash Buckler, and Dark Blast Zone. The last two are SWAP-ABLE Skylanders. The Dark Edition also comes with trading cards, posters, and some other stuff. It is more expensive that the normal version of the game, because the Dark Edition is $100 while the normal version is only $75.

But there is a catch. Just like the normal version, it comes with a Portal of Power. But this one is more different. It has several tunnels running through it and a slightly wider scanning platform. And if you have a Portal of Power already, you can NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES use the Portal from the first two games because the SWAP Force Portal is designed to recognize all 256 possible combinations with the SWAP-ABLE Skylanders (so the combination shows up in the game) AND recognize normal Skylanders at the same time. The older Portal was much different as it could only recognize the normals.

But there is good news. I happen to know the names of all Sixteen (16) SWAP FORCE Skylanders. Here is a list.
  1. Wash Buckler - A squid man. Half Man, Half Squid!!! He has "eight legs and no pegs". He, himself says that. It's his catchphrase. Anyway, he can attack with either his sword, his gun, or his tentacles. In fact, he has a Slap Attack where he uses his front two tentacles to slap whoever is in front of him.
  2. Blast Zone - He is either a robot with fire inside his body or a living fire inside a robot. Or perhaps he is a being that is made of fire that lives inside a suit of armor. Or he could be a robot power by fire. I have absolutely no clue to what he is. He looks like a robot with fire spilling out of his joints. He has two known powers. He can throw bombs around, and he can fly by shooting flames out of his feet.
  3. Hoot Loop - A Bird Man. Half Man, half bird!!!! He has some kind of giant ring, that can possibly allow him to use his powers. Because of the fact that his a Magic Skylander, one can imagine Hoot Loop using some kind of wizardry or magic to fight.
  4. Magna Charge - A robot with only one eye, a single wheel for legs, and a laser gun for a left hand. He has the ability to manipulate gravity. He can shoot a laser from his magnet shaped head that can remove the gravity of whatever it hits, thus making it float aimlessly through the air.
  5. Fire Kraken - A (very) weird dragon-like creature with a staff. Both tips on the staff are on fire. I know very little about him.
  6. Spy Rise - ANOTHER robot. This time he is modeled to look like a spider I know very little about him.
  7. Night Shift - He is two things. First of all (and most obvious) he is a boxer. Second of all, he is a vampire. Even though (this is my opinion) he looks more like a ghost. Actually he has all the trademarks of a ghost. Like levitating. And leaving behind mist because his legs happen to made of fog.  He also has slightly stretchy arms. He is one of two Skylanders that can Swap halves that has a Legendary form.
  8. Doom Stone - He is a knight. The second knight to be a Skylander (the first is Ignitor). I know very little about him.
  9. Trap Shadow - A panther like creature. That is the only known info about him
  10. Grilla Drilla - A gorilla cyborg. His gorilla legs have been replaced with a spinning drill, hence his name. He is a Life Skylander, despite the fact that he is a cyborg.
  11. Stink Bomb - A Skunk Man (half man half skunk). He knows Kung Fu. That is the only available info.
  12. Boom Jet - I no nothing about Boom Jet. The only available info is that he is a Air Skylander. And there are NO pictures of him either.
  13. Freeze Blade - This guy is basically a bipedal cat with a boomerang and ice skates. Both the boomerang AND the ice skates are literally MADE OF ice!!!!!!! He can throw his boomerang around and can skate at high speeds.
  14. Free Ranger - ANOTHER Bird man. He has something to do with wind, specifically tornadoes. He has blades on each arm. He also has a Legendary form
  15. Rattle Shake - a Snake man (half man half snake). He has a gun. but his gun is shaped (and colored) to look like a real snake. He is an Undead Skylander.
  16. Rubble Rouser - He is covered from head to toe in stone. One might even say that he is MADE of stone!!!! Obviously, he is a Earth Skylander. But that is the only info about him.

All of the above Skylanders are Swap-able which means that you can pop off half of the body, put it on someone else, it shows up in the game, and each half has at least one super power. EXAMPLE: Wash Buckler legs + Blast Zone body =  Blast Buckler!!!! Throwing bombs and slapping evil-doers. Or Magna Charge body + Freeze Blade legs = Magna Blade!!!! Using gravity to battle and skating off into the sunset.

But the Dark Edition of the game is exclusive to GameStop. But the Dark versions of the Skylanders actually have their own unique moves that their normal counterparts ca NOT do. Like how Dark Blast Zone can shoot waves of fire out of his mask.

But there is TWO MORE THINGS you should know. One, Dark Slobber Tooth may be a new Skylander but his is NOT, under any circumstances, Swap-able. The other thing is that a new Adventure Pack for the game is available, called the Tower of Time.

All Adventure Packs unlock a bonus level with a unique plot. Based on the title, one would think that Time Travel is involved. But the reveal of the Tower of Time is so new that there is not even a LETTER of info on it. So it is unknown if Time Travel is involved. But the new NON-swap-able Skylander Pop Thorn comes with the Tower of Time, along with two assist items: Battle Hammer and The Sky Diamond.

For pictures of the Dark Edition of the game, or if you have more than a hundred dollars, please go to GameStop.com.

Pokemon Rumble Time!!!!

This post is about the all new Wii U game Pokemon Rumble U!!!!!!

This is the third Rumble game Pokemon has (the others are the original Pokemon Rumble and Pokemon 3D for 3DS).

This game is unique because it features ALL 649 Pokemon from Pokemon Red and Green all the way to Pokemon Black 2 & White 2.

This game is not out yet, though I know a great deal about the plot.
The game starts like this. A Toy Shop just got a shipment of Toy Pokemon. Unfortunately, a major disaster happens and four Pokemon Toys get washed down the river. Those Pokemon were Pikachu, Tepig, Snivy, and Oshuwott. And when they get back on dry land, the first thing they decide to do is go back to the Toy Shop.

Mostly, the game is spent fighting your way through hordes of renegade Pokemon (that you can befriend, thus creating an army) bent on stopping you from reaching the Toy Shop. And obviously, there are Bosses including but not limited to: Charizard, Keldeo, Rayquaza, Celebi, and more. Of course, to make the game interesting, the Bosses are gigantic. One would even say they are Larger than Life. And here is the best part. You can have the Boss join your army after defeating the Boss in Question.

But they also threw in some spicy twists. Like example, sometimes you have to fight a Boss within a Time Limit. Or you have to protect a fort marked with a red flag from the boss and other Pokemon. Or you have to fight a Boss who never runs out of minions to stall you.

The game also has a similar system to Skylanders. There are Collectable figurines that you place on a device. Only difference is that you don't really need them. They unlock Pokemon with Special Stats, like super speed, super strength, super endurance, and so on and so forth. But you can unlock more Pokemon during battle. They won't have Special Stats, though.

Pikachu, Oshuwott, Tepig, and Snivy are available from the beginning, but only one can be played as. The rest are your sidekicks. They fight alongside you, but they are controlled by CPU, not you.

The very first boss is Keldeo. It is ironic that he is a renegade Pokemon because Keldeo is a Sword of Justice Pokemon. That means that he protects other Pokemon, from renegade Pokemon. The other members of the Swords of Justice are: Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion. All of which can create a sword made entirely out of energy. This power is called Aura Sword. Even though Keldeo does not use Aura Sword, but instead uses Secret Sword. He transforms into his Resolute Form when he uses it.

The second boss is Charizard. While Keldeo is a Pokemon of the Legendary rank, and uses Water type moves, and summons Water type minions, Charizard is a non-Legendary, uses Fire Type moves and summons Fire type minions. Polar opposites.

But the even that started the game was no accident. Apparently, there is some diabolical force responsible for some of the Toy Pokemon going Renegade. And responsible for sending Pikachu and friends down the river. Who or what it is I do not know. I also do not know if Pikachu and friends have to fight a boss at the Toy Shop. I also do not know why Rayquaza was ordering Toy Pokemon to stay in line at the Train Station. I also do not know how much the figurines cost, but I DO know that you can get them at GameStop.

And I also know that in order to attack, you have to tap on the Gamepad WHERE you want to attack. Also, each Pokemon has there own unique move set. And each Pokemon belongs to a type. Each type is strong against a certain type but weak to a certain type. Example: Water types are stronger that Fire types, Fire Types are stronger that Grass types, and Grass types are stronger than Water Types. But lets not forget the TWO MOST POWERFUL TYPES. Dark type and Dragon Type. Dragon types are strong against everything except Ice types and Dark types, and Dark types are strong against everything except Dragon types and Fighting types. So you have to think about which Pokemon from your army to bring with you to the next battle.

If you want to see pictures and videos, please go to either Pokemon.com or GameStop.com.

Super Mario Time!!!!!

This post is about an upcoming Mario game: Super Mario 3D World!!!!! The title makes it sound like it's for the 3DS, when in reality, it is for the Wii U.

But this game has a Four Player Mode!!!! The playable characters are Mario, Luigi, Peach, and a Toad.

But each character has their own play-style. Mario is the all-around character, with good speed and good jumps. Luigi can run a bit faster than Mario, and can jump higher. Peach has the running speed and jumps of Mario, but can hover in the air, thus staying airborne longer. And Toad is the fastest character in the game, being almost four times as fast as Mario. I seen a clip demonstrating Toad's speed, and Mario was running as fast as he could and he was easily outrun by Toad.

The game is like a classic Mario game. You collect coins, fight bosses, and at the end, you slide down a flag pole. This is easier with a new power-up. Cat Mario!!!! Mario (or Toad, or Peach, or Luigi, depending on who gets the power-up.) puts on a cat costume and gets SUPER CAT POWERS!!!! Including but not limited to: Super Cat Speed, Super Cat Jumps, Super Cat Wall Climbing, Super Cat Pounce, etc.

Another new thing is that you can ride on the back of a dinosaur. That looks a lot like Yoshi. Only Giant. And Big enough for all four players to ride at the exact same time. He also has a dark red bandana.

But this game is not out yet. It is coming out somewhere in December. But the good news is there are Green Stars in this game. Greens Stars are from Super Mario Galaxy. Just a collectible. But there is more good news. Cat Mario is capable of climbing UP a flag pole. If you reach the top, you get an extra life.

There are also Super Mario Galaxy style bosses. I say "Super Mario Galaxy Style" because one of these bosses is NOT a Koopaling. But a snake. Dressed as a king. And this game is NOT a side scrolling game. You can control the camera angle by moving the Wii U Gamepad.

If you wish to see images and videos, please go to GameStop.com.

Sonic: Lost World Time!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have a new Sonic the Hedgehog game: Sonic: Lost World!!!!! This is the first game since Sonic Adventure 2 to NOT have the Boost System. In fact, Sonic has NEW tricks to show off.

Based on the info I collected, Sonic AND Dr. Eggman team up to fight the Deadly Six. Why? Because the Deadly Six used to work for the Doctor, but they betrayed him.

This game is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! It is similar to Super Mario Galaxy, but still Sonic Style with the "playing as a blue hedgehog that can run 756 miles per hour". They reason why I say it is like Super Mario Galaxy is because of the spherical terrain.

I know very little of the plot, but this is what is known.
Sonic is chasing Eggman to the Lost Hex, where Dr. Eggman is using the Deadly Six to his advantage. Unfortunately, the Deadly Six betray the Doctor and forces Sonic and Eggman to team up.

One of Sonic's new tricks involves him doing acrobatics while leaving behind after-images of himself. He also has a Spin Dash, but that is actually not a new move. In fact, Sonic could use it in the VERY first Sonic the Hedgehog game.

But this game is not out yet, and is only on the Wii U and 3DS.

Here is the box art. NOTE: THIS IMAGE IS FROM WIKIPEDIA THE FREE ENCYCLOPEDIA.
