Super Smash Bros is finally here (in the U S)!!!!

This post is about Super Smash Bros and the 3DS version is finally out (both versions have the exact same characters by the way).

Warning: This Post contains spoilers with a side of spoilers. Read only if you want spoilers. If you do not like spoilers, read on anyway. Because my typing skills are the absolute best. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Now they introduced a new playable character that makes me feel like the developers wanted to troll/prank someone. It's the one, the only...

Duck Hunt Dog... I am not sure what
to think about that.

Duck Hunt received the same treatment that Pit from Kid Icarus got back in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Duck Hunt was originally a game made back in the golden age of NES. The dog in that game would chase any ducks hit by the Zapper, but the dog has teamed up with a duck for a two-in-one tag team.

Duck Hunt as a character is an hidden character so you have to unlock them first. To unlock Duck Hunt you need to clear Classic Mode with 8 (eight) different characters, then you need to defeat them in battle.

The next character is really cool and a lot of people called it (people predicted he would be in Smash Bros eventually ever since Melee). This character is one I know for a fact I will enjoy playing as.

Bowser Jr.!!!!

Bowser Jr is (obviously) the son of Bowser (who is also playable). Bowser Jr. has a large variety of tricks up his sleeves (or those bracelet things he wears all the time) and is piloting his Koopa Clown Car in battle. One would think that his Up-Special attack would be flying because that is what the Koopa Clown Car is for. Well YOU'RE WRONG!!! He self Destructs the Clown Car and the explosion shoots himself straight up (very useful for recovering from a launch) and pulls out a new Koopa Clown Car out of nowhere. He can also fire Bullet Bills and deploy Mecha-Koopas (both come out of the Clown Car's "mouth")/ Other attacks include punching with boxing gloves, turning the Clown Car into a actual car (also useful for recovering if used in midair) and zoom around.

Bowser Jr. requires unlocking as well. To unlock him you must beat Classic Mode as Bowser on Intensity Level 6 or higher (that is high enough to fight the secret boss).

The next secret character I will give away is one of my favorite characters in Brawl. The only character in Brawl that had a Story Mode Only alter ego. NOTE: THIS NEXT IMAGE IS FROM THE SUPER SMASH BROS WIKI BECAUSE ALL THE PICTURES ON GOOGLE ARE LOW QUALITY.

R.O.B.

That's right. They are bringing R.O.B. the Robot back!!! And they buffed up his Finishing Move/Final Smash!!! Instead of shooting a spiraling beam that was near useless (while the rest of his move set is really good) he turns it's entire body into a giant laser cannon!!!

Now for the secret BOSS!!! There is a new boss you can fight by playing on Intensity 6 or higher (though with each Intensity above he adds a new form to the battle).

This is the new boss. MASTER CORE!!!!!

even on Intensity 6 he is insanely powerful. If you do manage to beat him (takes a lot of practice) you have to destroy Master Core's true form (a Smash Ball) by launching it off the stage. Keep in mind if you take too long to destroy Master Core it will unleash a instant KO move upon you.

Oh I almost forgot! You can change the Intensity of Classic Mode. It goes up to 9 at the most and 1 at the least (or nine and one respectively)

The last thing I want to talk about is that there is a Game & Wario themed stage based off the Gamer mini-game. Expect 9-Volt's terrifying mother to show up randomly (she is the only thing in the world that is scary. Everything else is a pushover). Oh and being caught in her death vision will instant KO you. And give you nightmares.

See what happens when 5-Volt a.k.a. the Bringer
of Scares sees you? You get death beamed.

Evil 5-Volt mode activate!!!

Fun with Minecraft Mods!!!!

Minecraft is already a great game. But the PC version (which I have the demo for) has much more potential than the limited Home Console version. Part of that potential is mods. Mods are like DLC. They add a absolute ton of new stuff, but aren't included in the main package (so to speak). Mods are user made, however (and free). For more on how to mod please look up a tutorial as I cannot mod my PC Minecraft yet (I need the full version to mod).WARNING: The Home Console Edition is incompatible with the mods you are about to see.

This is a blog about some cool and relatively well-known Minecraft mods (These are cool in MY opinion by the way. And in no order). NOTE: THE IMAGES BELOW ARE PICTURES OF MINECRAFT MODS IN ACTION. I FOUND MOST IF NOT ALL OF THEM OFF GOOGLE.

#5: Ore-spawn

This mod is just crazy. In fact it was included with a mod pack called Crazy Craft. It adds hundreds of everything: New ores, new dimensions and some crazy bosses like...

This thing!!!!

It also adds some over-powered gear like royal guardian (WAY stronger than diamond) armor plus giant weapons. Like...

This EPIC Sword!!! Seriously how can a
dude made of pixels even LIFT that thing!?

This mod adds so much stuff to Minecraft that you may experience frame-rate drops add/or lag (doubly so if you are playing with friends while using this mod). Also it is updated on a regular basis.
For more info please go to Minecraft Forums and/or the mod creator's website

#4: Galacticraft

What this mod does is allow your Minecraft character to go to Outer Space!!! All you need is a Rocket (which you have to craft if you play survival with this mod)...

Like this one...

Put it on a launch Pad and wait for the countdown (you also need to craft the launch pad as well).

Upon launching it should look like this...

Safe travels!

We have Liftoff!

Once you are in space you can either build a SPACE BASE or you can explore either the Moon or even better, Mars!!!

NPC's will come with you if you go to the moon.
They turn blue however.

#3: Morph

This Mod is very impressive. I am not sure how the mod creator managed to program this mod but it is awesome either way. It allows you to transform into any mob provided you slay it in combat first. It even has a epic animation. For those that don't like slaying things, you can use a new Command to morph into whatever you are looking at (type in "/morph target). Also if the mob you become has special abilities you gain those abilities (No fall damage, flying, etc). This mod even works with other mods so you can become a boss from Orespawn.

To change morphs use the scroll wheel on your mouse

I could not find any good pictures of this mod so if you want to see in action there are HUNDREDS of videos on YouTube that have this mod (It is VERY Popular).

#2: PaleoCraft

This is a mod that is dream come true for dinosaur fans. What's not to love about dinosaurs? They are simply amazing. Then again I have always loved dinosaurs since forever. The mod adds in tons of dinosaurs, a dinosaur themed dimension and much more.

I have no idea which dinosaur this guy is.
And that is bad since I have been reading about them
since forever.

It also adds turkeys. Not really. this is a real dinosaur.
That looks like a turkey!

This is my all time favorite dinosaur: Spinosaurus!!!

#1: Mo' Creatures/Monsters

This mod has two names. A lot of people call it Mo' Creatures and a lot of people call it Mo' Monsters. It's official name is Mo' Creatures. It adds hundreds of animals (some with special variations), tons of armor, one new dimension and adds REAL turkeys.

It also adds scorpions. You can tame baby
scorpions and keep them as pets.

It also adds epic wyvern mounts (a wyvern
is a dragon that has it's two front legs fused to
the wings). You can give them armor too.

It also has robots that are made of dirt! Wait... That's
not a animal! That's a angry hostile killing machine!!!

Mo' Creatures also has Werewolves that can
only be harmed with Silver Swords (dropped by
Silver Skeletons upon defeat).

Those are the five mods I think are really cool. For more info on any of these mods (or how to download them) please go to Minecraft Forums or look up a tutorial on how to mod Minecraft.

The Unfinished Swan!!!!!!

This blog post is about a game called the Unfinished Swan. This is a indie game made by Giant Sparrow for the PS3 system only (partly because it was published by Sony themselves).

This game is surreal and quite interesting in concept and execution. The story is reminiscent of what you would find in a well written children's story book.

The premise of the Unfinished Swan is that you play as a boy named Monroe whose mother was a famous painter but had a habit of leaving her paintings unfinished (hint hint). When she died, the local orphanage let Monroe keep only one of 300 paintings (all of which were only partly complete). Monroe chose the one that was almost complete. A painting of a swan (hint hint). One night this same swan painting suddenly came to life and ran through a magic door, leading to a world of blank whiteness.

Now for gameplay. The game is played from a First Person Perspective. It's probably the only game I would get with this perspective besides Minecraft (which I have on PS3). But this is not a shooter game like literally EVERY First Person game is (except for Minecraft. Unless you have the PC version and installed a mod that lets you use guns. In that case Minecraft becomes a shooter). Anyway, It's worth pointing out that Wikipedia fails to mention some gameplay mechanics introduced past the very first level.

The game requires you to "paint" your surroundings
to see them.

Some examples include spraying water on a vine to make it grow (as seem in the picture BELOW), exploring pitch black caves with glowing mushrooms, encountering a large sea dragon type monster, and more.

Some puzzles require you to make vines such as
these grow rapidly. You can climb up walls using them!

BUT the main thing is shooting orbs of paint at a seemingly invisible environment and working your way to get ever so closer to the titular swan (who is constantly taunting you by stating still long enough for you to catch up, only to fly away to somewhere impossible to reach without the aid of rapidly growing plants, or a hot air balloon.

All the while Monroe learns about a wacky but strange king who is partly responsible for the blank whiteness seen at the beginning of the game (he refused to let anyone paint anything because he thinks that no color is perfect enough for his kingdom. Ironically nothing is perfect. Something can be perfect in one way but flawed in another way).

The music in this game is amazing as well. You kind of have to listen to the music itself in order to understand why I personally think it is so good.

This game is download only as far as I know and can be purchased from the PlayStation Store and is relatively cheap despite the quality of this game (on a scale of 1-10, with ten being highest quality, I give this game a 10)

For more info and possible spoilers please go to IGN (the multi entertainment site) because there is no real wiki for The Unfinished Swan (I checked. There is no wiki besides the walk-through guide that Ign has).
