April 19, 2011 Honeybees

Did you know that honeybees have lived since the Cretaceous, time of the dinosaurs.  Honeybee fact; in Ancient Rome honey was used  as medicine(same with Egypt). Honey can be found in mummy tombs.  The honeybee is the SECOND largest bee. If you got stung by a honeybee, I'd give that a 3 on the WHEEL OF OUCH:OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!       Honeybees are the ONLY bees that make honey, weird huh???

  1. I started reading your blog yesterday because your mom posted it. I think it is awesome! The main reason I am reading it is because I want to show it to my son. He is 8 and is being homeschooled and I think he would really like to read what you write. He is trying to learn to be a better writer. - Paula

  4. Definitely information I can use. I've only been stung once in all my life (57 years and counting ) Have you ever been stung? The reason why I got stung was because I was barefoot and stepped on it - serves me right- flip flops after that : D

    Bee seeing you!

  5. I am glad you all enjoy my blog! I (cheeks turning pink) am flattered! I have been stung once, but not by a Bee, but by a wasp. It stung my ear. It swelled up. My mom said she freaked out because she thought my head would swell, but me...I do not remember a thing. I was 2?????
